You’re right! I just will not look at Mandy’s profile anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m going to agree with Dawna’s assertion that Caleb’s Posse is still the best miler in the country. There was nothing wrong with Caleb’s Posse’s run here. Shackleford just rode the inside bias.
I’ve read people blaming the jockey of Caleb’s Posse. There was nothing wrong with the ride though. If he started his run earlier, it would flatten out sooner.
In the second half of the year, I expect Caleb’s Posse to prove himself a better racehorse at a mile or less than Shackleford.
Although no opinion is a wrong opinion, I had to laugh at this one. If I’ll Have Another captures the Triple Crown, I predict it will be by a very slim margin.
I’m…actually I’m in San Jose if we want to be literal. I am coming back with more handicapping. For now…I’m just watching…waiting…heh…heh…heh….
I have no deep thoughts about the Met Mile. I will only say that in an evenly matched field, take the longest price on the board that you think holds a reasonable chance to win.
Not often. For players without a lot of bankroll, it’s a very difficult play to hit. It’s much better to play the Pick 3 and 4 if you can find a single, and you can work the ticket around that, but also keep in mind that everyone and their mother’s mother will be singling that “sure thing” even money shot in one of those races.
It’s difficult enough figuring out the winner of one stakes race. When that race is next to some low level claimers, forget about it. If it’s an “all stakes race sequence” then the chances will be slightly better because quality horses have more consistent form.
Hmm what will I say?
Like I said, newcomers are at a huge disadvantage when it comes to the Preakness and it showed. I never for a minute thought any of them had a real chance.
I thought Bodemeister had the best chance obviously, and I thought I’ll Have Another and Creative Cause had smaller chances. At least all three of the only three choices I posted on here hit the board.
Bodemeister ran his race and I’m probably a fan of him now.
It will be difficult for me to be a fan of I’ll Have Another, but once the Triple Crown mania ends, maybe that will change.
Although it is a difficult task for any horse to beat one that is undefeated in route races, I look forward to trying to beat I’ll Have Another in in the Belmont.
I think people are underestimating the amount of respect I’ll Have Another has. As second choice in the wagering, he had quite a bit of money on him. It’s not like he was 100/1, he was a clear second choice.
Well, I’m tired of writing about racing at the moment. I just want to finish my homework for school right now. Maybe it is time I took a few weeks off from horses.
